I just read the translation of the text and I must say that there is a translation mistake in the last sentence. In the text it says "Why should we trust your so-called findings more than tobacco institute studies which say smoking doesn't harm health?"
It should better be translated as follows:
"Niçin sizin sözde bulgularınıza, tütün enstitülerinin yürüttüğü ve sigaranın sağlığa zararlı olmadığını söyleyen çalışmalardan daha çok inanalım ki?"

In the translation you provided the meaning conveyed changes a little bit. It is understood that the guy conducted research on tobacco..
